Time Capsule Mail stores a letter you write, along with any photos or video you attach, and emails it to the addresses you chose on the date you chose — up to 20 years from now.

It is free. There is no account, no payment, and nothing to cancel.

Use your own email address. We confirm it before anything is scheduled, and nothing is sent to anyone else until you have.

Do not use this to harass, threaten, or deceive anyone. A capsule addressed to another person arrives without warning, which is the point when it is a gift and a problem when it is not. Every delivered capsule identifies who wrote it and gives the recipient a one-click way to block you.

Do not upload anything illegal, anything you do not have the right to share, or anything depicting the sexual abuse of children. We will remove it, block you, and report it where the law requires.

Keep within the limits: 10 files and 250 MB per capsule, and a few capsules a day.

We will do our genuine best to deliver your capsule on the day you chose. The schedule lives in a database that runs independently of the website, delivery is retried on failure, and every attempt is recorded.

We will not read your letters for fun, sell them, use them to train anything, or show them to advertisers. We look at content only when someone reports it or the law compels us.

Sealed means sealed. Once you confirm, neither you nor we can edit a letter. You can delete it entirely at any time, and deleting removes the letter and its files from our servers.

If Time Capsule Mail ever has to shut down, we will tell every person with an undelivered capsule and send their content back to them before it goes offline.

Twenty years is a long time for any website. We have built this so a capsule survives us changing email or storage providers, but we cannot guarantee that Time Capsule Mail or your email address will still exist on the delivery date.

Email is not perfectly reliable. Messages get filtered, addresses are abandoned, and providers make their own decisions. If your address stops working before the delivery date, we may not be able to reach you.

This service is provided as-is, without warranty. We are not liable for a capsule that fails to arrive, arrives late, or arrives somewhere you did not expect. If that risk is unacceptable for something irreplaceable, keep your own copy as well.

You can delete any capsule at any time using the link in your confirmation email.

We may refuse service, block an address, or delete content that breaks the rules above, without notice where the content is clearly illegal.
